The arrival of the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 to the popular Sun Odyssey range has been welcomed by all. Designed by Marc Lombard, she is aimed at the very heart of the sailing market, boasting many unique features and benefits for sailors everywhere. The sun Odyssey 379 follows the design success of the larger 409 and 439 by being easy to sail, having excellent performance qualities, and being a comfortable to relax on whilst at anchor. Sleek and modern lines, a hard chine hull and a re-designed deck layout and twin steering enhances the ergonomics.
With a choice of two or 3 cabin layouts, the 379 also has extra flexibility by having a lifting keel option to make exploring those drying harbours, shallower inlets and secluded bays that much easier. Other keel options include a deep or shoal draft.
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 has a modern sail plan and is compatible with a self tacking jib. Customers can also opt for a larger overlapping headsail or the standard easy to tack or gybe 105% overlap Genoa. The headsail and mainsail sheets are lead back to primary winches on both sides in easy reach of the helmsperson. All lines are lead back to the cockpit under the coach roof for a clean and uncluttered look that also makes moving about on deck that much safer.
Available with three keel versions; standard fin, optional swing keel and shoal, she is also available with a two or three cabin layout. Jeanneau have made available numerous options that are usually reserved for larger yachts such as air-conditioning, bow thruster etc.
The interior is of a contemporary styling that?s brings together traditional materials found throughout the Sun odyssey range (solid wood, stainless steel and light upholstery).
